I didn't know what to expect from Trafford until I got a hold of this watch in person. I got the Daytripper Vesper watch and this watch is so beautiful. Fits my 6.25 inch wrists well and the lume is no joke. It is a lume daddy and the large field like numbers are great.
Great watch. Great bracelet! This is my first Trafford and I love everything about it! can’t wait for my second Trafford to arrive in the fall.
Great addition to my Daytripper Eventide giving me a second look to the dark red leather strap. Glad Nathan did a video though, without it, I would have struggled to put it on the watch.
Today At windup Chicago I bought the Izabella touring GMT, thanks Nathan for your attention, I like to support small brands with quality and design.
Loved it! Have been using it everyday since it arrived. Only downside is noisier than other automatic watches I have.
Really great watch, lume is impressive!
Every detail about the Daytripper is excellent. Trafford makes a beautiful, high quality and high value watch. I'm very pleased
Love the versatility and look of this bracelet.
High quality shirt! Exactly what I would expect from Trafford!
Blown away of the quality and comfort of this bracelet Highly recommend all who order a watch to get the bracelet as well
Pretty blown away by this watch. Quality is top notch and the Daphne is just a gorgeous design. The date is a little small as some have mentioned, but my eyes are not great anyway so every watch feels that way.
What I really loved was the attention to detail. The raised numbers. The red on the rotor. Even the watch straps have little touches of color to make it feel special. And the strap that comes with the deluxe edition is such a perfect color match that makes me incredibly happy I went with that version. All 3 options give the watch a different look.
I would also add that it came with a really nice instruction manual that was perfect for someone like myself who had never owned a GMT before. Explained setting it in simple terms and was able to get the ball rolling within a couple minutes. Extremely happy with everything.
Love my new Daytripper Eventide. Was worth the wait and glad I got both the strap and bracelet. Two great looks with one watch.
I absolutely love this watch. The face is exquisite and the strap is first rate. Accuracy is fine.
The overall finish and presentation very much hits above its weight for the price range this falls into, making this a phenomenal execution all around. I am quite happy that the crystal has the AR coating too because it helps the clean and sharp dial features pop in a dangerously admirable way (Gotta keep my eyes on the road!). Even the subtle bent/pointed ends of the seconds and minute hands are wonderful, I love that on watches and don't see it too often. Perhaps I am still in the "honeymoon phase", but I am absolutely loving this piece. It's not flashy, but not plain and definitely not "boring" either, very functional and straightforward. The theming is both subtle and classy, a wonderful nod to Eric Clapton on the whole, and I foresee myself grabbing this quite frequently on my way out the door.
- The Miyota 9075 after additional research made me realize this was a premium choice. Perhaps being able to adjust the date alone would have been nice, but for a true GMT at this price point, it's not really a big deal at the end of the day to me, so not a true con perse'. The finishing of the movement in the exhibition case back is a really nice touch, especially with the addition of the Geneva stripes and the custom rotor being something different from their "stock" style. The added "Season 2" guitar pick graphic adds a bit of nice final touch to the underside, reminding you of the series this reference came from.
- Packaging, accessories and straps are awesome and safe to store/travel as I was at the time. I personally love the bracelet for this as it was designed well (not just aesthetics!). The leather strap is beautiful, but I will need to wear it in to soften it up. The Single-pass "NATO" style strap that Nathan included at no charge is actually quite nice and for once in my watch-wearing life, I will be rocking that style as I admittedly never cared for it before personally. I have a 9 1/4" wrist and although the leather strap in an ideal world *for me* could be longer, it's not something I expect as I am far from the average sized individual. The fact that options were provided that work around this is awesome, because even with big name brands, I sometimes felt like I was on my own to figure out a solution.
I'll wrap this up by saying am very grateful for the opportunity to swing by in Austin and for Nathan's time to let me get hands on (primarily to see the Crossroad S model) and wasn't expecting to be able to walk out that day with a piece, but to my luck, this was available during my visit, and very happy with what I took home that day.
Fantastic watch. Great dial, case, and bracelet. Has become my go-to watch and have had multiple people ask me what watch it is.
Simple yet elegant dial.
First, but definitely not last, Trafford watch. Seems to be one of the best microbrands out there.
One of my best collections of all time
While waiting for delivery of this watch, my expectations were high judging the positive reviews I had read regarding Trafford watches. Well, they exceeded my expectations. Absolutely beautiful watch.
The pre-order wait was about 4 months, with delays and modifications along the way. Communication during that time was good, but it felt longer. Thought was put into the packaging, and it was cool to see and a nice addition if you display your watches. As for the watch, the case size and design sit comfortably on my 7.6” wrist and should work for a large number of wrist sizes. The leather strap is a bit stiff, which makes the watch sit funky until the leather warms up enough to mold to your wrist; then it is a bit more comfortable and sits flatter. If you wear your watches tight then that probably isn’t even an issue for you. The screwdown exhibition caseback is cool, with the modified rotor. I really appreciate the screw-down crowns’ size and design, which are well-proportioned and cool. The dial, numerals, and hands are all easy to read and look cool, and I think the watch would fit any occasion. The well-designed crown makes it easy to wind the watch, but the crunchiness of the movement while winding lessens the experience and would be one of the only improvements I’d make. Accuracy is on par with the movement, but I think that, given all the other positives, a better movement would have significantly enhanced the watch's quality, value, and overall experience with the watch.
