Took me a second to get used to the GMT 24hr time keeping but now it’s dead simple. Recommend using the metal band, I prefer it to the leather.
The overall finish and presentation very much hits above its weight for the price range this falls into, making this a phenomenal execution all around. I am quite happy that the crystal has the AR coating too because it helps the clean and sharp dial features pop in a dangerously admirable way (Gotta keep my eyes on the road!). Even the subtle bent/pointed ends of the seconds and minute hands are wonderful, I love that on watches and don't see it too often. Perhaps I am still in the "honeymoon phase", but I am absolutely loving this piece. It's not flashy, but not plain and definitely not "boring" either, very functional and straightforward. The theming is both subtle and classy, a wonderful nod to Eric Clapton on the whole, and I foresee myself grabbing this quite frequently on my way out the door.
- The Miyota 9075 after additional research made me realize this was a premium choice. Perhaps being able to adjust the date alone would have been nice, but for a true GMT at this price point, it's not really a big deal at the end of the day to me, so not a true con perse'. The finishing of the movement in the exhibition case back is a really nice touch, especially with the addition of the Geneva stripes and the custom rotor being something different from their "stock" style. The added "Season 2" guitar pick graphic adds a bit of nice final touch to the underside, reminding you of the series this reference came from.
- Packaging, accessories and straps are awesome and safe to store/travel as I was at the time. I personally love the bracelet for this as it was designed well (not just aesthetics!). The leather strap is beautiful, but I will need to wear it in to soften it up. The Single-pass "NATO" style strap that Nathan included at no charge is actually quite nice and for once in my watch-wearing life, I will be rocking that style as I admittedly never cared for it before personally. I have a 9 1/4" wrist and although the leather strap in an ideal world *for me* could be longer, it's not something I expect as I am far from the average sized individual. The fact that options were provided that work around this is awesome, because even with big name brands, I sometimes felt like I was on my own to figure out a solution.
I'll wrap this up by saying am very grateful for the opportunity to swing by in Austin and for Nathan's time to let me get hands on (primarily to see the Crossroad S model) and wasn't expecting to be able to walk out that day with a piece, but to my luck, this was available during my visit, and very happy with what I took home that day.
Quite comfortable and was very easy to resize. The addition of the small tabs to aid in install to the watch case is a really simple, but extremely useful feature, making it stupid easy to put back on after swapping straps. The micro adjust has been quite handy as well!
Solid watch and really happy with the final product.
Fantastic watch. Great dial, case, and bracelet. Has become my go-to watch and have had multiple people ask me what watch it is.
Simple yet elegant dial.
First, but definitely not last, Trafford watch. Seems to be one of the best microbrands out there.
I made an appointment to visit the store in person a couple of weeks ago after morning about the brand ATX Watches. I’ve been wanting a GMT, and Nathan happens to have a slow hand in stock.
I’ve fallen in love with this since I first put it on, and continue to notice new details that I appreciate. The dial is so detailed and changes in the light. The hues of the lume are an absolute delight.
The fit and finish is fantastic. The leather strap is great, and so is the single pass NATO. But the real surprise is the bracelet—the micro adjust is incredible, and the quick release spring bars makes changing from strap to band to bracelet a breeze.
With the GMT complication, Nathan’s idea to make the 6 o’clock positions vertical and 12 o’clock at the crown with night and day visually separated is ingenious, and the quick set hour makes adjusting time zones a breeze.
I just pre-ordered a “his and hers” pair of the new Crossroads-S series for our upcoming anniversary, and I can’t wait. Consider me a fan for life - now I’ll just need a daytripper and a chronograph to complete the collection.
One of my best collections of all time
While waiting for delivery of this watch, my expectations were high judging the positive reviews I had read regarding Trafford watches. Well, they exceeded my expectations. Absolutely beautiful watch.
My bluebird GMT was delayed but I was kept informed and when it arrived there was a personal handwritten note inside from Nathan Trafford apologising and thanking me for my patience. Great watches and excellent humans, thanks 🙏
Beautiful design and well made watch. I recommend buying the metal strap. Looks great. You can see and feel that Nathan cares about his watches.
It took 7 months from the time I ordered to arrive in my home. Still it was worth the long wait. 😊
Thank you and keeping an eye 👁️ on new designs
One of the best watches I've ever owned. Nathan and team knocked it out of the park with this design. Looks nice and crispy with a bracelet.
My Terlingua is not my fanciest watch, probably my most inexpensive watch, and in several ways my most beautiful watch. The longer I have it, the more I have grown to appreciate just how special it is. Like many of you, I have watches that are considered the standards of watch collecting and are truly great. But dollars do not define great. Design defines great.
I am an old design engineer. Not watches. Nuclear plants. I'm not an expert by any means on watches, but I am on mechanical design. I will give you an example: Look at your Crossroads and focus on the case. It is a rectangle, or is it? Most watches are circles, and we appreciate that as analog time goes around 360 degrees, but we all like it when it's delivered in a square or rectangle from time-to-time (no pun intended). Cartier has made a good living on this concept.
But look what Nathan did, his rectangle has no straight lines. It's all curved. Soft and pleasant. Look at the hands. Those are "skeleton hands". I call them "bad ass" or in this case "perfect". I don't know how he came up with it. Did he always like those? Or a buddy of his suggest that and he immediately say, "Eurika!" I don't know. I only know that was the right answer and we benefit from his expertise. And finally, the colors, wow! The palate these guys develop truly separate themselves from everyone else, and think about how hard that is these days. And we have them right here in Texas. Whoohoo!
I just need longer leather bands, they are so beautiful, but just a little shy for Big Tex.
Love it. Colours are so bright and original (Texas Peach) and go so well with the green strap. Sits on the wrist perfectly.
Absolutely love this watch! Its build quality, design, all-around feel, and even packaging, are nearly perfect. If you are buying a Crossroads, invest in the bracelet too! Trust me!
Really enjoy the watch, it is unique and glad that I added it to my small collection. Received complements on it without fishing for them, which is always nice. Serves as a good conversations starter.
I have been looking for a pink dial to add to my collection. Only learned about Trafford after this watch was released. When the opportunity came for me to buy it, I couldn't say no especially with the edition of my birth place. It looks great. The quality is great. No regret, great buy!
